MANDALAY, Myanmar, 4 April 2025 — “I’ve lived here all my life, but I have never experienced anything as devastating as this earthquake,” said 55-year-old Than in Mandalay, her voice trembling. “Everything fell apart in seconds.”

On March 28, 2025, a powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar, devastating communities across the regions of Mandalay, Sagaing and beyond.

Homes crumbled, bridges collapsed, and essential services were brought to a halt. The disaster left thousands dead and injured, and countless others – especially women and girls – battling to survive.

Make America Great Again? Not by This Administration

While the United States leads in military power and GNP, the US global ranking falls behind many advanced nations in life expectancy, infant mortality, healthcare, poverty, crime, family stability, education, human rights, gender equality, maternal mortality, and overall happiness

UN Human Rights Office Calls for End to Israel’s ‘Illegal Presence’ in the Occupied Palestinian Territory

(UN News)* — Amid reports of escalating settler violence in the West Bank, the UN rights office, OHCHR, briefed the Palestinian rights committee at UN Headquarters in New York, which also featured a screening of the Oscar winning documentary No Other Land.
