Recently Donald Trump has made three highly worrying appointments: He appointed John Bolton as his National Security Advisor.
Bolton who has already moved into the White House, is a notorious advocate of war with Iran and with North Korea. He appointed former CIA Director Mike Pompeo as Secretary of State.
This appointment has not yet been confirmed by the Senate, so there is still a chance of blocking it. To replace Pompeo as CIA Director, Trump appointed former torture chief Gina Haspel.
Secondly, in what can only be interpreted as an attempt to demonize Russia, the United Kingdom’s government under Theresa May claimed that the former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, who were living in the UK, had been poisoned by a Russian nerve agent.

An appeal that raised some $2 billion to help millions of people in Yemen was a “remarkable success of international solidarity” for the country’s war-weary people, but aid alone will not provide a solution to the conflict, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on 3 April 2018 said.
Giles Clarke/OCHA | Suad, aged 18, begs in the middle of the road between Yemen’s capital, Sana’a, and Saada with her four-year-old nephew, whose mother was killed in the conflict. Across the country, which has been at war since 2015, more than 22 million people need humanitarian assistance.

5 February 2018 – Nuclear Age Peace Foundation – TRANSCEND Media Service – The 2018 U.S. Nuclear Posture Review (NPR), released on 2 February 2018, represents a reckless realignment of an already dangerous U.S. nuclear policy.

The review specifically calls for the development of new, low-yield nuclear weapons that have lower explosive force.
