Fail Better – Learning Japanese as an Adult

Human Wrongs Watch

By Alex Watson*

Wall Street International – Anyone can do anything with appropriate dedication. I seek to impart this belief to all of the university students I teach. And, for the most part, I believe it. Of course, someone who is six foot five and wiry is more likely to take to basketball than a person who is five foot one and plump.

But a diminutive and rotund player can achieve proficiency with sufficient time and dedication. In fact, I count myself as an exemplification of this belief.

Human Wrongs Watch

By David Krieger*

04 December 2017 – TRANSCEND Media Service – The future of the world and of humanity is at the mercy of a lunatic.  His name is Donald Trump, and he alone has access to the U.S. nuclear codes.  Before he does something rash and irreversible with those codes, it is imperative to decode Donald, taking the necessary steps to remove this power from him.

Trump tweeted on December 16, 2016: “The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes.”

The U.S. has nearly 7,000 nuclear weapons, with more than 1,500 of them deployed and ready for use.

Human Wrongs Watch

By Uri Avnery*

EHUD BARAK has “broken the silence”. He has published an article in The New York Times attacking our prime minister in the most abrasive terms.

In other words, he has done exactly the same as the group of ex-soldiers who call themselves “Breaking the Silence”, who are accused of washing our dirty linen abroad. They expose war crimes to which they have been witnesses, or even participants.

But apart from the attack on Binyamin Netanyahu, Barak has used the article to publish his Peace Plan.

A former chief-of-staff of the Israeli army and a former prime minister, Barak is obviously planning a comeback, and his peace plan is part of the effort. There seems to be, anyhow, open season for Peace Plans in our region.
